“Our Mission Is To Provide And Promote Fitness And Wellness For The Life Of Our Community.”

The Five Components of Fitness

The five components of fitness are the steps that every person must follow to achieve their fitness goals. They are the science of changing body composition.

  1. Nutrition: Proper food intake is critical to success. In fact up to 70% of fitness is a direct result of nutrition. If you want to lose weight you must consume less calories than you burn, but eat enough to maintain muscle mass at the same time. The Apex program at FitClub is the only American Dietetic Association approved phase one weight loss program available through health clubs.
  2. Supplementation: Supplements are nutrients without calories. When you decrease your food intake, you consume less nutrients; when you increase your exercise, you increase your nutrient needs. When you are on a diet and exercise program you must use supplements to give your body what it needs to perform without added calories. The Apex program incorporates all necessary supplements to help you achieve your goals.
  3. Cardiovascular Exercise: Cardiovascular exercise has many benefits, including strengthening your heart and improving circulation. It reduces blood pressure and cholesterol, relieves stress, and helps burn fat by pulling it out of storage and using it for energy. To produce desired results cardiovascular exercise must be done in the right intensity, frequency, duration and mode.
  4. Resistance Training: Resistance training helps increase lean muscle tissue, which is your bodies fat burning machinery. The more muscle you have, the more calories you will burn all day long.
  5. Personal Assistance: A FitClub fitness professional will help you calculate exactly how many calories you need, based on your height, weight, age, gender, body fat and lean body mass. They will design menus for you, based on the foods you like to eat, that will meet your caloric needs and provide the proper balance of protein, fat, and carbohydrates. They will create a cardiovascular and resistance training program incorporating the right frequency, intensity, duration, and type of exercise to produce maximum results in the least amount of time possible. They will also determine the supplements you will need to achieve your goals without wasting time and money on anything you don’t need. Most importantly, a fit pro can personally train you, encourage you, and help you along every step of the way.
